'Finding the One is a beautiful book written with infectious positivity and filled to the brim with practical ideas for not only finding the one but fostering a happy life as well. The author is determined to help you see the good in your situation and embrace the possibilities for your love life, and she succeeds. Uplifting and encouraging from cover to cover, it will leave you feeling ready and deserving of a beautiful partnership, and a joyful life in general. My highlighter was brought out on a number of occasions (everyone read self improvement books with a highlighter on hand, right?!) but in particular, I found the reminder to embrace the beauty of this time alone (while it lasts) and use it to seek joy, growth and fulfillment for myself incredibly affirming. I also had a 'Yes girl, preach!!' moment when it was poignantly pointed out that when we are truely content on our own, we are not only more likely to attract the right people but importantly, much less likely to compromise on our wants, needs and values in a relationship and not dismiss the red flags when they arise. When we take time on ourselves, we can't help but see our own value and then act to honour our worth. What a beautiful realisation!! A fantastic read for anyone ready to share their life with that 'special someone'... who is yet to show up! You'll be glad you picked up this book.'
